SAVANNAH – Bobbie Warrren Murphy, 79, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at Memorial University Medical Center.
The Tattnall County native had lived in Savannah since 1948. She worked for many years with Southern Bell and attended Morningside Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of sixty-two years, Joe A. Murphy of Savannah; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan Murphy Hohnerlein Dennis and Linda Murphy Sims Steve all of Savannah; three sisters, Jerry Cowart and Rita Lewis, both of Springfield and Nancy Sikes of Ellabell; a brother, Calvin Lynn of Portland, ME; and three grandchildren, Corey Ryan "Bubba" Hohnerlein, Alexa Rose "Lula Bell" Sims, and Lydia Christine "Lucy" Sims. She was preceded in death by a brother, Alan Lynn.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Azalealand Nursing Home, 2040 Colonial Dr., Savannah, GA 31406.
